Literary scene: Der Lesende Krake – The Reading Octopus

, the library Raum B at Wildenbruchstrasse 4 in Neukölln welcomes us for a trilingual literary apéritif – in French, English, and German.

Next date: On Thursday 4th January 2018 at 8 o’clock p.m.

Stories, blog entries, tales, poetry, etc. will be read in French by Julien Simon and in German by Robert Klages.

Robert Klages (D) was born in Westfalen in 1984. After training as an organ maker, he studied Literature and Philosophie in Düsseldorf, Cordoba, and Berlin. Today he works as a journalist for the Tagesspiegel in Berlin. He’s often seen at reading stages all over Berlin, and his writing can be found in Literature magazines such as Salbader or Sachen mit Wörtern.

In December 2013, he founded a reading stage with Peter Zschische, the « SPRECHSTUNDE :Nebensatz » in Kreuzberg. The readings are sporatic and follow different themes.

Julien Simon (FR) is a writer, a scriptwriter and a publisher. Her writes crazy novels and bizarre short stories under the name of Neil Jomunsi. In 2010, he founded the publishing company Walrus that publishes crazy novels and bizarre short stories as well. He has been living in Berlin since 2011.

Allison Krupp (US) was born in quiescent America—the Middle West, or the states you fly-over, in 1990. She studied Creative Writing and Literature at Indiana University before almost-literally running away to Paris to ghostwrite novels, become a travel writer, and focus on baguette and wine consumption. In 2015, find her living and writing short stories, poetry, and travel blogs in Berlin.
